Terms of Service

Last updated 13 July 2026

Draft for review. Have these terms reviewed by a lawyer, and fill in your legal entity and governing country, before public launch.

These terms are an agreement between you and LetterGuide. By using the app, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

What LetterGuide does

LetterGuide reads an official letter you photograph and gives you a plain-language explanation of what it is, what it asks of you, and a suggested next step, in a language you choose. It is a tool to help you understand, not a translation service and not a substitute for professional advice.

Not legal or financial advice

This is important. LetterGuide's explanations are generated automatically and are for general understanding only. They are not legal, financial, immigration, tax, or medical advice. For decisions that matter, consult a qualified professional. Always check important details, such as deadlines, amounts, reference numbers, and names, against the original letter before you act.

Accuracy

The explanation is produced by artificial intelligence and can be incomplete or wrong, especially if a photo is blurry or a letter is unusual. You are responsible for verifying anything you rely on. LetterGuide is not responsible for actions you take based on an explanation.

Acceptable use

Use LetterGuide for your own letters, or letters you are authorised to handle. Do not use it to break the law, to process content you have no right to, or to attempt to disrupt or misuse the service.

Purchases

If paid features are offered, they are sold and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play under their terms. Any refunds are handled according to the relevant store's policy.

Availability and "as is"

We work to keep LetterGuide reliable, but it is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, LetterGuide and its team are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of the app, including any decision made based on an explanation. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes

We may update these terms or the app. If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the date above and post the new version here. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the country where LetterGuide is operated. The governing jurisdiction will be stated here before public launch.
